At BradPlas we manufacture the Bradplas Joist support Decking and Floor Levelling System, it is used to support or raise a timber joist based floor system and aid in levelling the finished floor.

 

The pedestals are designed to fit standard 2inch floor joists which sit within the system to provide the height required whilst installing over a solid substrate. e.g. concrete, hardcore, existing timber floor etc.

 

The system allows for the construction of floors over a larger surface area without the need for joists to sit within walls. The rubber pad provides excellent reduction in the transmission of impact and airborne sound as the floor is essentially raised.

 

As the base pad is constructed of rubber, this provides traction for stability and also acts as a water barrier to moisture.

 

The interlocking cradle fits within the pad and floor joists are then laid into the cradle to construct the joist floor. Benefiting from a cross sectional design allows for joists to fit in tightly as well as providing additional support to cross member/noggins.

 

Fine levelling shims can be inserted to account for uneven substrates or base extenders are available in 10mm, 15mm and 20mm where there are severe undulations in the substrate or there is a requirement to raise the floor for laying utilities. e.g. Access floors, Waste pipes, Central heating runs, underfloor heating etc.
